The Boy Friend Scarf Rigid Heddle Pattern
I’m calling this the Boyfriend scarf because I recently wove some for various boyfriends. When there is a boyfriend in your life (either yours, or someone else’s) that needs a gift, this is just the thing: Super soft alpaca, a lovely neutral colour and enough patterning to make it interesting but not so difficult that if the boyfriend disappears you’ll be chasing him to get the scarf back!
There is no need to limit this to boyfriends though! Girl friends, life-time partners, friends, moms, dads, neighbours, co-workers…this is a great gift for anyone in your life…including yourself.
The unique placement of 2 pick-up sticks allows for plain weave and waffle weave at the same time, it’s magical!
Pattern requires a minimum 15” loom, a 10 dent heddle and 2 pick-up sticks.
Makes 1 scarf approximately 11” x 72” + fringe
