Brighten your weaving skills with the Sunrise Towel, a project designed to spark creativity and showcase texture. This class is perfect for weavers who want to explore the beauty of randomness while mastering the double waffle weave technique.
What You’ll Learn:
Creative Warping: Embrace a more random approach to warping or follow an optional end-by-end pattern for guidance.
Double Waffle Weave: Learn how to insert and use two pick-up sticks to create dimensional texture.
Material and Color Choices: Personalize your project with a curated palette of colours and 8/2 cotton yarn or choose your own colours!
Materials Needed:
Loom (24” recommended, adaptable for smaller looms)
10, 12, or 12.5 dent reed
2 pick-up sticks minimum 24”
Cotton Clouds kit (available for Zoom participants) or Maurice Brassard yarn in specific colours
loom stand (Optional but highly recommended
Skill Level: Beginner-friendly, with a focus on adding new techniques and encouraging creativity.
