Houndstooth Tea Towel Rigid Heddle Weaving Pattern
This is a lovely set of towels using colour and weave techniques to weave up a little bit of Houndstooth. This pattern contains a check list for each slot and divides the warp into sections to make warping easy. There are videos to help with weaving with 2 shuttles, tying on, changing colours and more! If you want a quick weave, instructions are given for weaving plain colour blocks as well!
If you are in the US and without a local yarn store that carries 4/8 cotton, or you just love kits (and who doesn’t?) Cotton Clouds has this kitted up. Simply buy the pattern here then pop over to Cotton Clouds to grab the cotton kitted up.
This pattern requires 8/4 cotton, a 24” loom, a 12 or 12.5 dent reed, three shuttles (this is a great project for boat shuttles), and all the usual weaving paraphernalia.
Makes 2 towels about 24”x 18”
