Earl Grey Tea Towel Pattern
The Earl Grey towels first appeared in Little Looms magazine Summer of 2022. Originally in shades of grey (hence the name). I have switched out the colours with peaceful blues with a pop of yellow. It makes me think of Nova Scotia mornings as the sun begins to burn through the fog.
You can weave a simple version with plain weave or use the videos to help you insert and use the 2 pick-up sticks that make up the distinctive geometric patterning.
You will need a 24” loom, 2 pick-up sticks and 8/2 cotton. (Suggestions are in the pattern for using a 20” loom).
Pattern makes 2 towels about 18.5” x 26”.
