Classic Placemats Rigid Heddle Weaving Pattern
This pattern was designed with 15” looms in mind. It also uses a 7.5 (or 8) dent reed and worsted weight wool to make it a quick(ish) weave. With a touch of colour and weave, these placemats have many options…you can make each one different just by changing the weft pattern!
I have used MacAuslands wool for this pattern and have given very detailed wet finishing geared to this wool. Briggs and Little would be comparable…so an easy wool for most weavers to access.
The Pattern makes 2 placemats, but there are instructions for warping more and changing things up!
