Start your weaving journey with the vibrant and joyful Cheery Day Towel! This colour gamp project explores how warp and weft interact, showcasing how these two elements transform into stunning colour blends. Using primary and secondary colours, you’ll create a visually dynamic towel while mastering essential weaving techniques.
What You’ll Learn:
The impact of weft on warp to create bold and subtle colour effects
How to confidently change colours in both warp and weft
Fundamental warping techniques for a smooth, frustration-free start
Tips for weaving your first towel or building on basic skills
This class lays the groundwork for the Towel of the Month series but is also a rewarding standalone experience for exploring colour and honing your technique.
Materials Needed:
24” rigid heddle loom (adjustments for smaller looms provided)
8/2 cotton yarn in primary and secondary colours as well as black, white, grey and charcoal.
10-dent reed
Skill Level: Beginner-friendly, with hands-on support to ensure success
