Most of the item listed here will be handwoven by me. Occasionally there might be a hand knit item or even a hand spun skein of yarn. If you follow my blog you will see that each item has a  story. What inspired the pattern, colors etc., perhaps what went wrong (because we all want to hear about other people's mistakes) or maybe what surprised me or what I absolutely loved about working on that project. Each item has a story to tell and I want to tell it.

Every item is unique. Even if it is made from the same pattern, it will have it’s own unique qualities. That's the beauty of handmade items. But that is no excuse for poor quality or sub-par workmanship. I will never pass off mistakes that mar the visual appearance or integrity of the finished item as a “design feature" or “proof" that an item is handmade. You might however notice some slight variations in colour or thickness of the fibre. This is natural and to be expected when working with natural and hand dyed fibres.

Natural fibres require special care. Each item will come with care instructions, usually hand wash only. Woven items sometimes get snagged, on a rough edge, a piece of jewelry, a child's finger etc., and a thread or two might get pulled. Usually with patience and care, these pulled threads can be worked back into place. Occasionally an end works its way loose. Just grab a darning needle and weave the end back in. Sometimes a thread gets snagged and actually breaks! Please don’t panic! Each item will have a repair kit. Find where the 2 broken ends are and using a darning needle weave in the repair thread starting 2” before the break and finishing 2” after the break. Snip the broken ends. Only you will know the repair is there.
